Prior to joining Devon, Myers served as senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Reebok International Ltd., since 2003. Myers began his human resources career at Valmont Oilfield Products in 1981. From Valmont he spent eight years with PepsiCo in a number of positions, culminating as the director of human resources. Myers moved to Mervyn's Corporation, a division of Target Corp., in 1990 as director of training and organizational development. In 1993, he was appointed vice president, organization and leadership development at Limited Brands Inc., where he remained until 1999. Myers joined BankBoston in 1999 and served as vice president and executive director of human resources. Later that year, after the bank was acquired, he joined Metromedia Restaurant Group where he served as executive vice president, human resources from 1999 to 2002. Myers holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of the Human Resources Planning Society.
