Strategic Speed: How Fast is Your Company?
Tuesday, August 10, 2010 • 11:00am to 12:30pm (Eastern)
Almost all leaders (89 percent) believe that speed to market is a critical factor in sustaining their business, yet less than half (42 percent) feel they are faster than their competition. This gap has enormous implications for business leaders, as faster companies enjoy higher revenue growth and operating margin.
To achieve strategic speed—implementing strategies both quickly and well—leaders need to make people the key ingredient in their success formula.
Discuss the three people factors that can provide a powerful accelerator for organizational speed and performance: clarity (understanding the goal), unity (cross-company collaboration) and agility (adapting quickly). From big change initiatives to everyday work projects, learn how to move past paying lip service to faster execution—and arm your people with the tools to make it really happen.
Using extensive global research and in-depth case studies of 18 diverse companies, attendees will learn:
- The keys to accelerating strategic initiatives
- The primary speed traps to avoid
- The four leadership practices which drive strategic speed
- How to take a "pulse check” on an organization's speed
