Jim Bowles is the Vice President of Workforce Development in Human Resources for Cingular Wireless.Cingular Wireless is the joint venture between the wireless divisions of BellSouth Corporation and SBC Communications, Inc.Jim is responsible for the design and development of the programs related to Staffing, Learning Services, Leadership Development, Organizational Development, Employee Relations, and Ethics.

Jim initially joined BellSouth in 1987 as Director of Employee Assistance Programs for BellSouth Enterprises. From 1989 to 1997 he served as Vice President of Human Resources for the L.M. Berry Company in Dayton Ohio.  In 1997 he joined the wireless team at BellSouth Mobility.

His "extra curricular" professional activities include adjunct teaching role with Mercer University, Board member of the Human Resource Leadership Forum, Advisory Board member of the Kennesaw MBA Programs, Board member of the National Nuclear Accrediting Board (Training) and editorial board of the of Human Resource Planning Society (HRPS) Journal.

Jim has a Doctorate from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he also held the position of Associate Director of Student Life and adjunct professor in the College of Education. He earned both a Masters in Education in counseling and a BS degree in psychology from James Madison University.
