Prior to the acquisition, Larry led the Aetna Financial Services Customer Contact Centers. He joined Aetna Financial Services in 1996 and was a key contributor in senior level Human Resources roles. His background includes significant business, strategic, organizational, and leadership experience gained throughout his tenure at ING and Aetna Financial Services, as well as in assignments with industry leaders such as Pitney Bowes, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and State University of New York (SUNY) Oswego.
Larry earned a BA degree in English, and Physical Education and Health from Bluffton College, and an MA degree in Higher Education Administration and Personnel Management/Labor Relations from Michigan State University. He completed the University of Michigan Executive Management Program, and also holds a NASD Series 6 professional designation.
Larry is currently a member of the Bluffton University Board of Trustees; the Human Resources Planning Society Board of Directors; Leadership Greater Hartford Board of Directors; Board of Trustees of ACCESSHartford (young professional networking organization of which he is a founder); and formerly Vice President and Treasurer, Board of Trustees of Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, CT Chapter. In addition, he maintains affiliations with several other non-profit organizations.
Larry is currently serving as a co-chair for the 2006 HRPS International Conference.
He has been recognized and awarded for his leadership achievement and community service contributions. Most recently he's been recognized in the 2005 Edition of the National Register's Who's Who In Executives and Professionals; his Customer Service organization was selected for Purdue University's 1999 World Class Call Center Series, a recognition for superior customer service and business strategy. He is a past recipient of the "Outstanding Administrator of the Year" (SUNY-Oswego) and of the U.S. Jaycees "Outstanding Young Men of America" awards.
