Global Payroll Consulting and Processing Services Partner
Carolyn Gould is currently a principal in the Employment Tax Services practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). She is the US national practice leader for PwC's Global Payroll Consulting and Processing Services practice and in this role she is responsible for managing payroll outsourcing services as well as providing global payroll consulting services. The payroll outsourcing services include the implementation of technology, best practice processes and teams for global payroll processing services which have been outsourced to PwC.
Her experience and services in the area of payroll consulting services include engagements related to global payroll operations model development , payroll compliance advice as well as performing Payroll Health Checks which assist companies in documenting and reviewing the compliance of their current payroll programs globally. In addition, Carolyn assists companies in expanding to new countries for business operations. This would include the set-up, registration of the entities locally along with providing the compliance rules for operating payrolls, bookkeeping and other locally required activities.
Her 36 years of HR and payroll consulting experience also include the development and benchmarking of global mobility policies for many Fortune 500 companies, development of technology to automate the administration of international assignment programs and providing global mobility administration services for companies who have chosen to outsource these services.
Prior to joining PwC in 1989, Carolyn was with Organization Resources Counselors (ORC) for 11 years as an international compensation specialist.
An active member of the Society of HR Management (SHRM) for many years, Gould has held a variety of volunteer leadership positions, including serving as a director on the SHRM Board of Directors for six years and previously as a director and past chair of the SHRM Foundation. In addition, she currently services on the board of HR People & Strategy (HRPS) and also represents SHRM on the North American HR Management Association (NAHRMA) and is a past-chair of that board as well as representing NAHRMA for 8 years as a delegate to the World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA).
Gould graduated from Montclair State University with a bachelor's in mathematics and holds the SHRM-SCP (SHRM Senior Certified Professional), SPHR (Senior Professional in HR), GPHR (Global Professional in HR), CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) and CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designations. She is trained in SixSigma and completed APA’s Global Payroll Management Certificate Program.
