Redefining the Onboarding Experience at Vox Media

What does a new hire do in their first week? First month? First three months? Like most young companies, Vox Media has been confident in new hire orientation on day 1, but less confident about what happens once a new hire sits with their team. Most managers focus on getting their new hire “up and running,” but think less about the cultural integration and performance expectation setting of their new team member. We all know the impact the onboarding experience can have on an employee’s engagement, but how do we set the right tone across the board?    

In this webinar, Hadil Stokes, Senior Programs Manager, People & Culture, will describe the process Vox Media has undertaken to diagnose issues with onboarding and areas of improvement, specifically as they relate to a culture of inclusion and high performance. In this webinar, you will learn:

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: 
Hadil Stokes is currently the Senior Programs Manager within People & Culture at Vox Media, overseeing onboarding of new hires, learning & development, the summer internship program, employee engagement surveys, and company-wide diversity & inclusion initiatives. She has a background in global human resources and client operations in the finance and manufacturing industries. Hadil is based in the New York City area, and lives with her husband and 17-year-old cat.
