Membership Criteria

Who Belongs to HR People + Strategy?

HR People + Strategy welcomes new members with experience on the following categories:

  1. A formal leader within an organization with responsibility for a strategic function. This generally includes experience as a CHRO; the functional head of organization development, learning or talent management, etc.; or a divisional or regional vice president.
  2. A consultant experienced with strategic engagements.
  3. A senior-level academic recognized within the profession as contributing strategic thinking and practice.
In addition to the criteria for membership described above, potential members should have 10-15 years of progressive HR and/or leadership experience or possess an advanced degree in the field or in business/management.

Here are the easy steps to renew your membership quickly:

  • Log in to the HR People + Strategy website.
  • Insert your username and password and click on the “Sign In” button.
  • Click on the "Manage Profile" link located at the top-right section of the home page.
  • Click on the "Renew Your Membership Now" box and complete your online profile and then click save.
  • Complete your online renewal form and under your name on the left-hand side, click "Submit Securely."

Of course, the strength of HR People + Strategy is its members. That’s why we’re asking you to help us expand our collective knowledge and network even further by referring other worthy, senior-level HR executives to HRPS. ​

Referring a new member is easy:

  • Refer online: Give us your referral details online for the most immediate impact. Or, point your colleagues to hrps.org to join. Remind them to submit your name as the referring member.
  • E-mail your referrals to us: Send your referral contact information to info@hrps.org
  • Invite them along: Take colleagues to HR People + Strategy programs and events.
  • Share the benefits: Reserve a few minutes on a meeting agenda to tell others about the benefits of HR People + Strategy membership. 
  • Give it your stamp of approval: Your personal endorsement means a lot.
  • Make your job easier: Encourage those who work with you to join either as an HR People + Strategy Enterprise Member or an Individual Member. 
  • Follow up: Send a note to your referral about two weeks after you've referred them. This often makes a difference in whether your colleague will join.
  • Distribute membership information: Distribute the HR People + Strategy membership brochure at staff meetings, events and more.
